David S. Buck

BUCK DAVID S. David S. Buck, 66, of Bluffton, OH, died Friday, September 25, 2009, at Bluffton Hospital. David was born in Michigan to David V. and Virginia Buck. He grew up in Toledo and graduated from DeVilbiss High School prior to serving his country in the US Army. He served in the Army overseas, stationed in Germany and then in the Viet Nam War as a paratrooper. Following honorable discharge, David became a heating and air conditioning contractor. He worked in the Toledo area for many years for various companies including his own business as well as Fry Brothers Heating and Dold Homes. Most recently, he served as the maintenance manager at Bluffton Montrose Apartments in Bluffton. Davids many interests included collecting antiques and World War II memorabilia. He was also an avid reader. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Carr Buck; son Michael Buck Raquel of Las Vegas, NV; grandson, Christopher Buck; brother, Walter D. Buck; and sister, Sandra Lynn Shaffer Stephen. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Christopher Buck. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11AM-2PM at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, where the funeral ceremony will take place on Monday at 2PM. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those planning a memorial tribute are asked to consider the American Heart Assn.
