David T. Reiterman, 65, of Port Clinton, OH died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at his residence after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 18, 1942 in Detroit, MI to Henry D. and Adeline J. Bolin Reiterman. On May 25, 1996 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor he married Lillian Jean Royer-Deak. David served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1961-1964 and worked as a warehouse manager for USCO for 38 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Port Clinton VFW Post #2480, The Marine Corp Association, and the Port Clinton Moose Lodge #1610. David enjoyed computers and surfing the net, watching television especially football and golf, going to casinos, fishing, traveling, and playing cards with their friends. David loved his entire family and having company over to visit. In addition to his loving wife: Jean, survivors include: son: David M. Brandi Reiterman of Alabama, son: Daniel S. Reiterman of Alabama, daughter: Dawn M. Bryan Holman of Alabama, step-son: Joseph S. Deak, Jr. Marti of Port Clinton, step-son: Daniel P. Sue Deak of Port Clinton, daughter: Tamara J. Jeffrey Homler of Port Clinton, daughter: Theresa R. Jason Sparks of Port Clinton; brother: Gregory J. Linda Retierman of Michigan; sister: Denise D. Walter Farmer of Michigan; 3 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; and his dog: Nova. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Ronald D. Reiterman. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008 in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, Oak Harbor, with visitation 2 hours prior to the services from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. The Reverend David Tinker will officiate and longtime friend Jim Vickery of Michigan will give a eulogy. Interment will be in Rusha Cemetery with full military rights conducted by the Port Clinton V.F.W. Post #2480.
