David Carl Potratz

David C. Potratz, 80, formerly of Rossford. passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2024, at. Kingston Nursing Home, Sylvania, Ohio. David had been a resident there for the past five years.

Born on May 10, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio. He was the son of the late Carl A. Potratz and Opal D. Potratz. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Potratz.

He has one brother, Donald Potratz, Hartwell, Georgia.

David was employed by the City of Toledo where he retired after 10 years. Prior to that David was a Federal Bank Examiner for the FDIC.

The funeral service was held at Fort Meigs Cemetery on October 4th. He was given an honor guard burial. David served in Vietnam 1966-1967, as a Chinook Crew Chief/machine gunner during the Tet Offensive.
