David E. Nottage

David E. Nottage, 78, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 19 at his daughters house in Greenwood, IN. He was born on August 4, 1929 in Murrysville, PA to Stanley G. and Winifred Madelyn Ewens Nottage. He married his wife Mary Louise Clarkson on January 14, 1961. David worked for many years in the Merchant Marines and he also worked for the American Shipbuilding Company as a welder. He was a proud Army veteran of WWII and was a former member of the Lucas County Veterans Burial Corp and American Legion Post #576. David was a simple person with simple needs and always had a smile on his face. He was an avid photographer and also loved to play the harmonica and spend time with his father in Florida. He and his wife also enjoyed traveling. David is survived by his son, Mark Tracy; daughter, Cheryl Danny Nottage-Miller; sister, Pat Tom Haupricht: grandchildrern: Kohlin Miller, Nicholas, Alexander and Mitchell Nottage. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. David was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Mary, in 2005. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, June 24, from 10:30-1:30 PM at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family suggest memorial contributions in Davids name be made to American Legion Post #576, 5267 Detroit, Ave. Toledo, OH. 43612 or St. Francis Hospice, 438 S. Emerson Ave. Greenwood, IN. 46143.
