David Walter Noe, age 89, passed away February 24, 2023. He was born in Toledo on January 14, 1934 to Walter A. and Margaret G. (Krupp). David attended Blessed Sacrament, Central Catholic, and University of Toledo. In 1955, David married Margie Lee Geren and together they had 5 children. Sadly, Margie passed away in 1991. Later David married a Central Catholic classmate.
David was a hard worker which was evident in his career at Right Tool and Die where he worked for 42 years. He started as an apprentice tool and die maker then worked his way up the ranks as a leader, estimator, assistant plant manager, eventually becoming plant manager/president of the company. In addition, David taught apprentice school for many years at Southview. He was also the President of the Toledo Chapter of the NTMA, served as a Board Member of the National NTMA and participated in all national meetings. David’s expertise on transfer dies was so well known that he served customers as far south as Mississippi, east to Connecticut, and west to Iowa.
Upon retirement, David and partner Wayne Blasutta formed the sales company Northwood Group servicing the tool and die and stamping industry.
David was an avid golfer and could often be found on the course at Sylvania Country Club where he was a member. He was also part of a group of 8 men who golfed on many courses throughout the Toledo area. In addition to his passion for golf, David was a member of the Wolves Club. He loved to travel and would head to casino trips to Las Vegas and Biloxi with his companion Judy Koslosky. He looked forward to his annual trip to the beach with his family. In addition, David was a huge Ohio State fan and spent every Saturday cheering on the Buckeyes.
David was preceded in death by his parents, brother Daniel, infant sister Nancy Ann, and wife Margie. He is survived by sister Suzanne Ramsdell, sons David (Jettie), Christopher (Melinda), and Michael (Elizabeth); daughters Kathy (Michael) Judge, and Susan (Allen) Disselkoen; grandchildren Janelle, Jared, Jeremy, Justin, and Jayden Noe; Alison (Dean) Wurzell, Nicholas Judge, and Laura (Alex) Bruno; Emily (Troy) Burnie, Kyle, and Sadie Disselkoen; Katherine, Abigail, Claire, and Brian Noe; great-grandchildren Westley, Jack, Brady Wurzell, Lucia Bruno; Sister-in-law and companion Judy Koslosky.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania, Ave, Toledo, OH 43623 (419-841-2422). Visitation will continue on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Ln, Toledo, OH 43623. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Central Catholic High School or Christ the King church in David’s memory.
