David Jobert Nodine, lovingly known as “Billy,” passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2025, at the age of 45. Born March 17, 1980, in Toledo, Ohio, David filled every day with laughter, and love.
A graduate of Colorado Technical College with a degree in Business, David went on to build a successful career as the Director of Logistics for Ryder Logistics. But his proudest role in life was as a husband, and father. He shared a beautiful life with his wife, Jennifer, whom he affectionately called “Tina,” and was the heart and soul of his family.
David had many talents and hobbies that kept life interesting. A skilled woodworker and carpenter, he hand crafted much of the furniture in his home. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors hunting, and was a collector of guns, many of which he assembled. An amazing cook, David especially enjoyed time in the kitchen with his children, whipping up meals that were just as memorable as the moments shared around the table.
When his boys were young, David loved coaching their sports teams—always cheering the loudest and celebrating every win, big or small. He was his family’s biggest fan, and his love for them showed in everything he did.
Known for his quick wit, David could make anyone laugh, often with jokes and surprising anecdotes. Friends and family delighted in his unique talents, like juggling or splitting an apple apart with just his bare hands. He filled the air with his spontaneous singing and whistling, and his famously big hugs will be deeply missed.
David’s presence was a gift, and his joy lives on in the countless stories, smiles, and laughter he leaves behind. Though our hearts ache, we pray that everyone who knew him smiles when they think of him—because that’s exactly what he would want.
David is survived by his wife, Jennifer Nodine; children, Jackson, Vance, and Tripp Nodine; parents, Dave and Teri Nodine; sister, Alisha (Dan) Fessel; brother-in-law, Rob Dodson; aunts and uncle; Gail Gerich, and Mike and Tina Beaudreau great aunt and uncle, LeRoy and Barb Zieske; and nephews, Gabriel Fessel, and Charlie, Caleb and Chase Dodson; cousins, Shane Nodine, Jesse Nodine and Amanda Bucaro; and mother-in-law, Laurie (Rowe) Cranston.
