David Baird Miller passed away peacefully March 3, 2011 after a long illness. He was born September 25, 1940 to Adam and Evelyn Lundstrom Adam and Eve Miller in Youngstown, Ohio. After graduating from high school in 1958, David entered the United States Navy receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1965. He worked for Kin-Ray industries along side his dad and later worked for Dow Chemical and Dowell Schlumberger in Youngstown, Ohio and Chicago Heights, Illinois retiring after 32 years of service. Davids favorite pastimes were bowling and golf. He loved his golf trips with his friends and brothers-in-law. Most of all, David loved having his grandchildren by his side. He lived every day talking about how proud he was of his kids, grandkids and special nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sheri Miller McLaughlin; brothers-in-law, Randy Perretti and Rick Raczkowski. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 33 years, Sandra Raczkowski; sons, Sean Jennifer, Jeff Beth, and David Aurora; step-daughter, Lecia Jeff; grandchildren, Nicole, Adam, Brittany, Zachary, Brandon, Medley, and Jack; great-granddaughter, Mena; sisters, Susan George Zografides and Janice Dan Rhattigan; mother-in-law, Dolores Perretti; sisters-in-law, Becky Bruce Garcia and Lucy Perretti; and most precious babies, Bandit Sophie and Emme who loved him unconditionally. He is also survived by his one and only Cella Bella his niece, Marcella; special nieces and nephews, Christine, Kellie, Tara, Matt Heather, Chris Cook, Brandon, Sean, Danny, Chris Zografides, and most of all, Pete and Mechelle. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the care and compassion given to David during his stays at Flower Hospital ER, ICU, and the 5th floor, to Regency Hospital and to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Also, to Dr. Moshir Jacob, Dr. Navin Jain and Dr. Shakil Khan and all of the specialists who helped throughout the years. A very special thank you to the Flower Hospital ICU nurses. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 6, 2011 from 2-9:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
