David John Mikolajczyk, 71, passed away peacefully August 30, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. A Vietnam Veteran, David was assigned to 158th Quarter Master Company near the Central Highlands, where he was assigned as a petroleum storage specialist responsible for building and maintaining fuel pipelines. Upon returning to the States, David worked as a printer for Toledo Blade until he transferred his knowledge to Kellermeyer Building Services, where he worked as a computer programmer until retirement. David was born in Toledo, OH to the late Benedict and Anna (Gozdowski) Mikolajczyk. Spouse, Stephany (Cichy) Mikolajczyk-Mikols and siblings Alvin Mikolajczyk, Lawrence Mikolajczyk and Patricia Topolewski, precede him in death. David was the proud Father of sons, Andrew (Cynthia) Mikolajczyk and Brian (Marilyn) Mikolajczyk and daughter, Nicole (John) Pupos, who survive to honor his memory. David also leaves behind grandchildren, Andrew (Lindsay), Anthony, Brian, Ian, Lily, Madison, Michael, Nicholas (Tiegan), Sarah, great-grandchildren, Liam and Rowan and siblings Joyce Lorenz and James Mikolajczyk. Visitation will be held at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) from 2pm to 8pm, Tuesday, September 4, 2018 where the Lucas County Burial Corp will conduct services at 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, beginning with a prayer service in the funeral home at 9:30am, followed by a funeral mass at Christ the King Church at 10:00am.
