David J. Mcpartland

David James “Dave” McPartland passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was 74 years old.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, on February 15, 1951, Dave was a lifelong resident of the area and a man known for his creativity, humor, wit, and deep love for family, music, history, and spirited conversation.

Dave owned and operated his own silk screening business, Northwest Graphics, where he brought together his entrepreneurial spirit and artistic talents. A gifted illustrator and painter, he expressed himself through cartooning, music, and design.

Outside of work, Dave had many passions. He loved playing his acoustic guitar, golfing with friends in the Bogey Buster league, and cheering on his favorite teams—the Detroit Tigers and Lions. He followed politics with sharp insight and a strong point of view, never afraid of a lively debate.

He is survived by his daughter Erin (Chad) Kwiatkowski, son Michael (Melissa) McPartland, and grandsons Brody and Bryce McPartland, who brought him endless pride and joy. He also leaves behind his brother Denny (Teri) McPartland; niece and nephew Haley Mendez and DJ McPartland; and many other extended family members and friends who will remember his dry humor, big heart, and creative soul.

Dave was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barb McPartland; his parents, Edward and Norma Jean “Peggy” McPartland; his brother, Joe McPartland; and his sister, Cathy McPartland.

A visitation to honor Dave’s life will be held on Sunday, August 10, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Maison Dardenne Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee, OH 43537.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in recognition of the compassionate care they provided.

Above all, Dave will be remembered for his quiet strength, artistic soul, his humor, and fierce love for the people closest to him. He was one of a kind—and he will be deeply missed.
