David Conrad Mariasy, age 65, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday September 6, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born on June 4, 1956 to Richard and Nancy (Towns), in Toledo, Ohio, the oldest of two boys. David spent his whole life in Toledo, OH attending Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic grade school, St. John’s Jesuit High School, and the University of Toledo. It was during his time at Bowling Green State University for graduate school that he met the love of his life, Charlotte (Kramer), to whom he was married on July 21, 1984. Together, David and Charlotte would later welcome three sons, their sons’ “gals”, and many friends into their lives. David was an incredibly gifted musician, having owned AudioMatrix recording studio for over 30 years, where he recorded countless Toledo-based artists. David’s claim to fame was testifying as an expert audio witness on the infamous JonBenet Ramsey case. Locally, David was known as the man who wrote the “I Love My Zoo!” theme song. David’s love of classic movies, Jimi Hendrix, and homemade pickles will surely be missed by all who knew him. David is survived by his wife Charlotte, sons Stephen (Amanda) Mariasy of Toledo, Kristopher (Alyssa) Mariasy of Mattoon, Illinois, Ian (Amanda Menechella) of Columbus, Ohio, brother Phil (Dana), Mariasy of Toledo, stepmother Mary Ann Mariasy of Toledo, mother-in-law Rita Kramer of Toledo, and beloved extended family.
