David W. Holman

On March 22, 2024, David Wayne Holman passed away peacefully at Edgewood Manor in Port Clinton, Ohio at the young age of 69 years old. David was born on March 18th, 1955 in Canton, Ohio. He enlisted in the US Navy on June 29, 1972, at the young age of 17. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University Police Academy in 1985 and served in La Grange, Ohio. He was a member of Life Tabernacle Church.


David worked Maintenance at Walmart after retirement but his true passion was hunting, fishing, nature preservation, spending time with his family, and spreading the word of God's love and positive impact on his life.


David is survived by his wife of 45 years, Wendee Lee (Wauthier) Holman; their six children, son, Joseph Holman of London, Ohio, daughter, Dina (Holman) Walker and son-in-law, James Walker of Grayling, Michigan, son, David Robbins of Crossville, Tennessee, daughter, Renee (Robbins) Danielson and son-in-law, Kristopher Danielson of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Linda (Holman) Lottman and Naoma (Holman) Nimrichter; nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Denzil Holman Sr. and beloved mother, Lydia (Liddle) Holman; brothe,r Rev. Denzil Holman Jr.; sister, Carol Holman; and nephew, Greg Holman.


A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 10 am and picnic for David is scheduled from 11 am til 2 pm on Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at East Harbor State Park in the Harborview Shelter House. Donations in David's honor can be made to Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio.
