David Hendricks, Sr.

DAVID C. HENDRICKS, SR. David Hendricks, Sr., age 66, of Holland, and formerly of Parkersburg, W. Va., passed away peacefully on October 12, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. David was born in Parkersburg, W. Va. on August 2, 1947 to Virgil and Ruby (Cox) Hendricks. He graduated from Parkersburg H.S. and married his high school sweetheart, Dixie Johnson, on February 18, 1967. A U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, David is a member of the Holland American Legion Post #646 and worked many years for Ryder Truck Rental in Parkersburg before coming to Holland where he later became a truck driver for Ace Hardware. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his loving wife, Dixie; daughter, Michele Hendricks; son, David (Alison) Hendricks, Jr.; grandchildren, Paige & Kashton Hendricks; sister, Connie (Denver) Cline and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Hendricks. In keeping with David’s wishes there will be no visitation and services will be private.
