David Faust, Jr.

David A. Faust Jr., age 77, of Maumee died peacefully on July 28, 2025 at Brookdale Memory Care in Bowling Green, Ohio. He was born to the late David and Helen Faust, raised in East Toledo and graduated from Waite High School. David was married to his loving wife, Carolyn (Kovesdi) for 57 years and together they proudly raised 3 daughters and cherished their 7 grandchildren.

A member of Local 85, David made a living as a boilermaker and a project manager. He was an avid music collector who loved listening to a variety of artists, attending concerts and enjoyed sharing his passion. David was one of the hardest workers you ever met and everything he did was to provide a beautiful life for his family. From the day they eloped, David always tried to give Carolyn the world and she will always treasure the memories of their travels throughout the United States and Europe. His daughters knew they could count on him for anything they needed, he always made every one their friends feel welcome and the Faust girls know that they truly had the best dad ever. David also embraced every stage of his grandkids lives from playing trains on the floor to shooting hoops and cheering them on every chance he got.

He is forever loved and missed by his devoted wife, Carolyn, his brother Jack and sister-in-law Sally, his daughters and their husbands: Alicia and John Duggan, Andrea and Joe Puhl, Amanda and Les Collinsworth. He was the best Papa ever to Ashlyn, Drew, Aubrey, Liam, LJ, Gavin and Zachary. Cherished memories also remain with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Brookdale for all they did for David over the last eleven months. It was a comfort knowing he was in such good hands. We also appreciate Bridge Hospice for their caring support.

Please join us to celebrate David’s life. You are welcome to wear your favorite concert or Hard Rock Cafe shirt and bright colors are encouraged. Family and friends will be welcomed on Tuesday, August 5th from 4pm-7pm and for a service led by Fr. Mark Davis at 10:30am on Wednesday, August 6th at Maison-Dardenne-Walker at 501 Conant Street in Maumee. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
