David F. Evans

EVANS David F. David F. Evans, age 73, passed away Monday afternoon, September 20, 2010 at The Toledo Hospital. Dave was born May 10, 1937 in Cleveland, OH. He graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1955 where he sang for the Chanticliers, instilling in him a lifelong love for choral music. After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering, he was commissioned as an Officer in the Army Chemical Corps. Dave met his wife, Cheryl, in 1971 through the Toledo Ski Club, and they celebrated 40 years of marriage together. Also that same year, Dave founded his own company, Toledo Cast Tooling, Inc., where he remained President until as of late. An award-winning actor and director, he was involved in over 30 plays, and was an active member of the Toledo Rep. Adored by his daughters, Dave could always be seen cheering on his Green Bears at their various athletic events. He was their biggest fan. Dave will always be remembered for his kindness and compassion, love, boundless energy, bright sense of humor, and his unwavering optimism and determination to make everyday count. Dave is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughters, Debby and Stephanie; and older brother, Don. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Margaret Evans. Visitation will be held from 2-6:00pm on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd..
