David P. Elmore

David Philip Elmore, 51, of Toledo, OH passed away in his home on February 11, 2013. He was born in Detroit, MI on July 24, 1961 to Ralph Elmore, Sr. and Rita Kutz. He was brother to Ralph Elmore, Jr. and Debbie Johnson and half-brother to Sheila and Tony Elmore. He was raised in Taylor, MI where he graduated from Harry S. Truman High School in 1979. He subsequently relocated to Toledo to work for a then new business, Marcos Pizza. He worked as a facility manager and dedicated over 30 years to Marcos Inc. It is with this company that he met his beloved wife Joyce Marie A. Morales. They were united in marriage on September 9, 2000. David was an avid outdoorsman, with a particular love for hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed coin collecting, watching sports, playing golf, bowling and swimming. His greatest accomplishment, and greatest passion in life, was becoming a family man. David was a dedicated and loving husband and father, roles into which he poured his heart and soul. David is survived by his wife, Joyce Marie M. Elmore, and four beautiful children, Keara Jocelyn 10, Isabella Carrie 7, Henry David 4, and Faith Emily 2, as well as by his parents Ralph Sr. and Rita and siblings Ralph Jr.Darlene, DebbieRick, and Tony. He was preceded in death by his half-sister Sheila Elmore and step-mother Sandra Pazyniak, and most recently by his aunt Gerry Krzeczkowski. Visitation will be on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 4-9 PM at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. with a prayer service at 8:00 PM. Daves family will also receive friends from 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM on Saturday at St. Pius X Catholic Church 3011 Carskaddon Toledo, OH 43606 followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 AM with Rev. David M. Whalen, OSFS, Rev. John Lehner, OSFS and Rev. Thomas J. Landgraff, OSFS presiding. A memorial fund has been established for the Elmore family through St. Pius X Catholic Church.
