David A. Eckhardt

David A. Eckhardt, age 43, passed away Tuesday November 25, 2014.  The son of, Richard and Barbara Eckhardt, he was born November 5, 1971 in Toledo, OH.  He was a graduate of the University of Toledo where he earned a Bachelor degree in Business.  He then attended Mercy School of Nursing where he earned an Associate degree in Nursing.  He worked as a cardiac nurse at UTMC.  He was an avid reader, especially history.  One of Daves favorite hobbies was taking Zoe Andersen camping.  He enjoyed teaching Andersen how to ride his first dirt bike, and he and Zoe were always paling around together; movies, restaurants, taking drives exploring. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Eckhardt; daughter, Zoe; Son, Andersen; sisters, Sue(Kevin) Haberkamp;  Anne Eckhardt; niece nephew, Lucas and Emily Haberkamp. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 2-8 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd).  The family will receive friends, as well, on Wednesday from 10-11 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church 4605 St. Anthony Rd. Temperance, MI 48182 where a Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given by going to www.gofundme.com Lifting up the Eckhardts (click on memorials and type in Eckhardts  43617 in the search field).  Condolences may be shared with the family at walkerfuneralhomes.com.
