David Lewis Dibling, 79, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 10, 1944, to his late parents, Harold and Madeline (Howard) Dibling. David was a high school graduate of DeVilbiss High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting from Defiance College. He worked with Owen’s Illinois, The Private Industry Counsel, and was also a tax preparer. David loved the arts and was an usher at the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle for over 40 years. He enjoyed listening to the Toledo Symphony perform classical masterpieces from his favorite composers. He was a member of the Choral Society where he sang baritone for 50+ years and also sang in the Sylvania Senior Center Chorus.
David cherished his family and loved spending quality time with his grandkids. He was married to his dear wife, Sara Dibling, and together raised two children. He cherished the opportunity he had to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. He was a huge fan of Ohio State Football and most notably wore a red polo shirt during every game. In his free time, he could be found playing cards with his close friends, laughing at a good joke, or simply just enjoying life to its fullest. He was a hardworking man who always had a huge smile on his face. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor.
Left to cherish David’s memory is his loving wife, Sara Dibling; daughter, Karen (Joshua) Taylor; son, Brian (Dana) Dibling; brother, Dan Dibling; grandkids, Morgan and McKenna Taylor, Matthew and Connor Dibling; great grandchild to-be, Cruze David; sister in-law, Linda Divan and many dear cousins and friends.
