David E. Dr. Cook

Dr. David Eisele Cook, age 86, left this earth on Friday, June 17, 2011 to join those he loved who have journeyed from this life before him. Son of Tracy G. and Helen L. Cook, he was born October 3, 1924 in Columbus, Ohio. At age three the family moved to Maumee where he attended Miami and Harvard schools, worshiped in the Presbyterian Church there and studied at the Toledo Museum of Art School. In his teens a move to the western edge of Ottawa Hills of Toledo found him enrolled in Burnham High School where he became active in sports, especially track. He graduated in 1942 and in the fall returned to Columbus as a freshman at The Ohio State University, enrolling in pre-med. While at the university David became a member of the track team, its football team as a place kicker and was drum major of the OSU Marching Band. He remained very proud of being among the few who have
