David Bloom, 70, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH. David was born on March 27, 1948 in Port Clinton, the son of Willard and Florence (Dunkleman) Bloom. On November 06, 1971 at St. John Lutheran Church, he married Marcia L. Ohm and she survives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. David worked at Heineman Dist. from 1978 to 2007 and then worked for Port Clinton Manufacturing until his retirement in 2016. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, where he was in the choir, a member of the men in mission, and enjoyed dart ball with the Peninsula League. David was a member of the American Legion Post #113 and the model train club. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are: Loving Wife of 46 years: Marcia L. Bloom; Daughter; Ellen Bloom; Sons: Matthew and Michael Bloom and Brother: Roger (Carol) Bloom. David was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8pm, Monday, August 27, 2018, at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00am, Tuesday, August 28, 2018, by Rev. Dr. James Lehman at the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, with a military graveside service. Memorial contributions may be given to St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams St., Port Clinton, OH 43452.
