David Bilbrey, age 70, died peacefully at his home in Genoa on December 1, 2007. Dave was an enthusiastic Ohio State fan and loved the OSU Band. Formerly of Toledo, he attended Cherry School and graduated from Scott High School in 1955. He was a member of drum corp. playing baritone and alto sax. He served in the Army National Guard stationed at the Armory on Secor Road. After attending BGSU for two years he began working with his father as a cement finisher. At age 30 he developed rheumatoid arthritis and was forced to change to a less physically demanding job. He worked in the office of Jeffers Crane Service until his retirement in 1996. Dave was with the first class of volunteers to the RSVP program sponsored by the Toledo Police. He, and later with his wife Sue, visited the elderly and shut-ins in the city of Toledo. Dave was a natural artist and humorist. He drew cartoons from early childhood until his death. He has two books of cartoons copyrighted and had a weekly cartoon called
