David A. Avery, 53, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, May 8, 2015, in Toledo, OH. He was born on October 20, 1961, in Toledo to Ernest and Sharon Irene (Hawkins) Avery, Jr. He graduated from Waite High School in 1979 and from Terra Technical College with an Associates Degree. David was a member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local #421 of South Carolina and Boilermakers Local #85 of Rossford, OH. He was a loving father. He loved his kids, working on anything to do with cars and small engines. David had a big heart. He will be greatly missed and we will see him soon. David is survived by his son, David Wesley Avery of Staley, NC; siblings, Donise (Joe) Bickerstaff of Oklahoma, Danny (Debbie) Avery of Perrysburg, Steve (fiancé, Pam) Avery of Marion, Ernie (Cindi) Avery, Larry (Evelyn) Avery, James (Judy) Avery, and Cathy (John) Lorton, all of Oregon, OH, Sharon Avery of Toledo, Paul (Helen) Reynolds of Indiana, David (Karen) Reynolds of Murray City, OH, and Vicki Reynolds of Toledo; sister-in-law, Vickie Avery of Oak Harbor; step mother, Audrey Avery of Oak Harbor; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, Nancy Avery, and brother, Richard Corky Avery. Graveside services for David will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 15, 2015, at Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg, OH. A gathering and lunch will be held at Graytown Park following the service (please bring a dish to share). Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor has been entrusted with the arrangements.
