DARREN J. JOSEPH Darren Joseph, age 49, of Holland, and formerly of Swanton, passed away on December 7, 2014, at Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania. Darren was born in Toledo on June 3, 1965 to Alfred & Lodena (Shepherd) Joseph. He married Trudi Hunsinger in Swanton on July 26, 1985. Darren worked for Chrysler on the assembly line for many years. A sports enthusiast, he was a huge fan of the Miami Dolphins, Detroit Tigers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also ran the Strawberry Festival’s Baseball Tournament for many years. A past president of the Springfield STYBS and Saturday Basketball Leagues, he coached many youth in the area as well as being a Springfield Cowboys Coach. Darren was also a member of Local 1435, Toledo Machining. A devoted son, husband, father and brother he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving is his loving wife, Trudi; sons, Matthew (Brittany) Joseph; Christopher Joseph; Daniel Joseph; daughter Hannah Joseph; brothers, Doug (Julie) Joseph; Kevin (Julia) Joseph; sister, Julie (Lisa Simmons) Joseph; mother Dee Joseph and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred, and sister, Diana. Friends and family will be received in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 2-9 pm on Thursday, December 11, 2014. Funeral services will be held at the Cornerstone Church, 1520 Reynolds Rd., Toledo beginning at 10:30 am. Family will received friends one hour prior to service at the Church. Burial will follow at Swanton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Darren’s memory be made to the Springfield High School Athletic Boosters.
