Darlene S. Metcalf

Darlene S. Metcalf, 79, of Rocky Ridge, Ohio, died Thursday morning, August 10, 2017, at Riverview Healthcare Campus in Oak Harbor, Ohio. Darlene was born December 28, 1937, in Jacobs Creek, Pennsylvania, to Charles R. and Verna (Linway) Brashear. She married Ernie F. Metcalf, Sr. on June 11, 1956, in Kittsmiller, Maryland, and he preceded her in death November 10, 1986. Darlene was a homemaker and a member of the Fremont Christian Missionary & Alliance Church. She loved all of her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Darlene is survived by her sons, Ernie F. (Becky) Metcalf, Jr. and Bradley R. (Delmi) Metcalf, daughters, Belinda M. (Raymond) Joseph, Tammy L. Fellows and Charlotte A. Metcalf; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, brothers, Charles J. Brashear and Francis G. Brashear. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, John J. Metcalf and daughter, Luetta K. Metcalf and sister Catherine L. Burch Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday, August 14, 2017, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017, in the funeral home with burial to follow in Rusha Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
