Darlene C. Ellis

Darlene C. Ellis, age 80, of Toledo, died June 2, 2026 at Maumee Pointe Assisted Living. She was born June 11, 1945 in Toledo, OH to Mr. & Mrs. William B. (Theda Melman) Tolman. She was a graduate of Whitmer High School and was employed at Mercy Hospital and St. Vincent Medical Center. She married Karl Ellis in 1967.

Darlene enjoyed gardening, playing cards and was a member of the Moose Lodge. Darlene was a strong, independent woman and enjoyed her Pepsi and Milky Ways.

Survived by her sons, Eric (Connie) Ellis and Jason Ellis; grandchildren, Jakob (Kylie) Ellis, Justyn Ellis, Jase Ellis, Alysenne Ellis and Karlee Ellis; sister, Marlene Stelnicki. She was preceded in death by her partner of 30 years, Frank Fischer.

Friends will be received at Walker Funeral Home (5155 W. Sylvania Ave.) on Saturday June 6, 2026 from 930 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
