Darla D. Kamm

Kamm Darla D. Darla D. Kamm, age 65, passed away Monday, March 17, 2008 peacefully at her home in Lambertville, MI surrounded by her family. Darla was born October 2, 1942 in Toledo to Harold and Dorothy Huebner Gerding. She married her husband Ken on August 10, 1963. She was most proud as a mother and homemaker. After raising her family, she worked for Monroe Community College as a Lab Assistant before beginning a 15 year career as a CAD Designer at Applied Technologies, Inc. Darla was an active member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Temperance and was also a member of Middle Bass Island Yacht Club. She and her family loved spending time at their summer home on Middle Bass. Darla also enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, and attending anything to do with her 5 beautiful grandchildren. Darla is survived by her husband, Ken; children, Christina Bryan Machinski, Michael Lori Kamm, and Suzette Lance Eipperle; grandchildren, Nicholas and Chad Machinski and Courtney, Sydney, and Jacob Kamm; sisters, Ruth Ann Leonard Mason, Jr. and Karen Dwight Dorwart; brother, Harold Beverly Gerding, Jr.; and mother Dorothy Gerding. She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Guy Kamm, and father, Harold Gerding. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4:00pm and 6-9:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00am with the Rev. Frank Paine officiating. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
