Darcy Gill

May 25, 1974 — August 25, 2025

Darcy Lauren Gill, 51, went to rest in her Savior's arms on Monday, August 25th, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio.

Darcy, daughter of Dennis Michael Gill and Marcelene Louise Webb, was born May 25th, 1974, in Toledo, Ohio. Darcy graduated from Notre Dame Academy, in Toledo, Ohio in 1992. Darcy then graduated from The University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts in 2012.

Darcy was a radiant source for all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spiritual journey on this earth was one marked by love, enduring empathy, and unwavering devotion to family and close friends. Darcy’s authentic, vivacious personality was on full display at gatherings; her strong vocabulary coupled with her quick wit and incredible insight were some of her many unique attributes.

Darcy had a special gift for connecting with people less fortunate than her, most notably the developmentally challenged and those with multiple disabilities. She was passionately devoted to all her fur babies (Charles and Sullivan), as she would glow when enthusiastically describing the importance they had in her life. Above all else, Darcy conquered relentless adversity and was brave beyond measure.

Darcy’s sudden passing has left an eternal emptiness in our hearts. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived. Her legacy will continue to have a profound impact on us all.

Left to grieve the loss of this beautiful woman are her mother, Marcie Webb, father Denny (Candy) Gill; brothers John (Jennifer) Gill and Patrick (Anna) Gill, sister Kerrie (Eric) Szenderski; nieces Gabriele Gill, Emma Gill and nephew Brody Gill; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service in honor of Darcy’s 's life was held August 29th, 2025 at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home in Maumee, Ohio.

“Like a distant star

Darcy cast her light

In tiny flashes.

But oh so brightly she could shine

that we missed the pain

it took to be seen.

When we look to the heavens

let us hope she is shining elsewhere now,

pulsing and vibrant

by an everlasting love”
