Danny Lee Avery

Oct 9, 1965 — Jul 6, 2026

Danny Lee Avery, 60, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Benton Township, Ottawa County.

Danny was born on October 9, 1965, in Toledo, Ohio, to Ernest Jr. and Sharon (Hawkins) Avery. Throughout his career, Danny worked as a long-distance truck driver before finding his true calling as a boilermaker with Local 85. He retired in 2010 after years of dedicated service.

Despite losing a leg due to injuries and illness, Danny never let it slow him down. He embraced life with determination, resilience, and a positive spirit. After graduating from Oak Harbor High School in 1985, where he was a standout member of the track team, Danny proudly served in the United States Army Reserve. Above all, Danny cherished his family. He loved spending holidays together, swimming with his grandchildren, and passing along the mischievous Avery spirit to his children and grandchildren. His love, laughter, and strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Danny is survived by his wife, Debra; children, Brandon Siville, Shari (Josh) Monhollen, and Dakota Avery; grandchildren, Dimitrius, Joshua Jr., Aubreyanna, and Malachai; siblings, Ernie Lee (Sue) Avery III, Jim (Judy) Avery, Steve (Pam) Avery, Cathy (John) Lorton, and Donise Bickerstaff; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Sharon, Larry, David, and Richard "Cork"

The family will receive friends at Robinson Walker Funeral Home, 165 E. Water Street, Oak Harbor, Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 10:00 am until military honors at 12:30 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to a local veterans organization of your choice.
