Daniel B. Toris, Sr., 53, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Saturday, July 07, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH. Dan was born on August 25, 1958 in Sandusky, OH, the son of John H. and Florine Matheny Toris Sr.. On September 27, 2008 in Port Clinton, OH, he married Louise Bice and she survives. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH. Dan worked as a CAD Technician for BEC Associates for 22 years and many years at U. S. Gypsum. He also worked at NASA Plumbrook during de-commissioning and made a lot of friends there during that time. Dan enjoyed working on computers. He was a family man who loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and extended church family. Survivors include: Wife: Louise Toris of Port Clinton; Daughter: Erin Eric Stout of Port Clinton; Sons: Daniel B. Sara Toris, Jr. of Oak Harbor, Zachariah Michele Toris of Port Clinton, Joshua Toris of Fremont and Joseph Judy Pollock Toris of Port Clinton; 8 Grandchildren: Evangeline, Davis, Jessica, Eliza, Delana, Annabelle, Juliet and Derek; Sisters: Lynda Michael Weis, Cincinnati, Patricia Chester Dalton of Sandusky, Mary Studer of Sheffield Lake and Anne Jim Stewart of Marblehead; Step-Sister: Estea Wallace of Sandusky; Brothers: John H. Carol Toris, Jr. of Milwaukee and Draper Toris of Sandusky; Step-Mother: Claudia Toris; many loving Nieces & Nephews; Special Friends: Walter & Pauline Eaton and family. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and step-sister: Reba Thompson. Visitation will be from 4-8PM, Monday, July 9, 2012 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH and 1-2PM, Tuesday, July 10 in Trinity United Methodist Church, 135 Adams St., Port Clinton, OH 43452 prior to the service. Funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader & Reverend James Lehman at 2:00PM, Tuesday, July 10, 2012, in Trinity United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial donations in memory of Dan may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church.
