Daniel G. Sundberg, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 28, 2015 in Sylvania, Ohio. Dan was born February 22, 1955 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Roy and Elizabeth Sundberg. After receiving his high school diploma from Lake Michigan Catholic High School in Michigan, Dan went to college on the East coast, received his MS in Chemical Engineering from MIT, and his MBA from the Harvard School of Business. He was highly intelligent, ambitious, and a very successful business man specializing in marketing and sales for various chemical companies throughout the United States. He valued education and spent the last ten years teaching and tutoring at local Toledo universities. Dan enjoyed sports, especially NCAA basketball. He was a former college baseball player and was a lifelong Notre Dame football fan. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Sylvania. He also enjoyed listening to classical music. Dan was the rock of his family and his witty humor will be missed by those who knew him. Dan is survived by his wife, Cynthia; children, Samantha and Timothy; mother, Elizabeth Betty Sundberg; and brothers, Thomas (Galena) and Phillip (Linda) Sundberg. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy. There will be a gathering from 3-6:00pm on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.).
