In loving memory of Daniel Scott Anderson, the vibrant spirit of Port Clinton, Ohio. Daniel, aged 50, departed this world on January 29, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family at home. Born to Robert and Gloria (Woodruff) Anderson in Port Clinton, he was a proud graduate of the Port Clinton High School Class of 1992. On August 19, 2001, Dan united his life with Shari Robertson in Marblehead, Ohio, and their love remained a constant until the end.
Describing Dan is a task that words can hardly capture. Universally acknowledged as one of a kind, he possessed a heart of gold that saw the good in everyone. His infectious humor and quick wit made him the life of every gathering. Dan’s zest for life transformed ordinary moments into unforgettable adventures, and his enthusiasm made everything enjoyable.
Dan’s journey through life was as diverse as his character. From his 14 years in masonry to a decade as a flatbed owner-operator and another decade operating machinery at construction sites, he embraced each opportunity with passion and dedication. In the last two years, he ventured into entrepreneurship with BU Designs, crafting and selling beautiful wooden flags. Dan’s culinary skills, particularly his love for preparing pastas, showcased another facet of his creativity.
An avid Michigan Wolverines fan and a cornhole enthusiast, Dan knew how to appreciate life’s simple pleasures. Yet, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his beloved children: Makayla Anderson, Kiara Gaeth, and Braylin Anderson, and his cherished grandchildren: Kayden Acree and Khi Below.
Dan leaves behind a legacy of warmth and laughter, survived by his loving wife, Shari, children, grandchildren, and a host of siblings: Norm Rickard, Melva Anderson, Raymond Dubbert, Brenda Hatcher, Donna Rickard, Big Robby Anderson, Little Robby Anderson, and Norma Ramsey. His faithful companion, Zoe Zoolander, also mourns his loss. Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gloria Anderson, son Braydan Anderson, and siblings Jaime, Bryan, and David Anderson.
Cremation services will be provided by Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, with private family services to be held at a later time.
In this time of sorrow, may the memories of Dan’s infectious laughter and zest for life bring solace to all who had the privilege of sharing in his joy.
