Daniel Mccrory

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel “Bucs” Christopher McCrory, 52, of Oregon, OH who passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital, Toledo, OH. He was born on December 26, 1971 in Oregon, OH to John “Jack” and Kathleen (Boellner) McCrory. He was the youngest of six children. Dan had a heart of gold. He never met a stranger. This was evidenced by the many friends that stopped by the hospital during Dan’s final days, not to say goodbye, but “see you later” to Bucs.

Dan’s pride and joy was his daughter, Amanda and his grandchildren, Braylon and Adriana. He could often be found at the soccer field or volleyball court cheering them on. Our hearts will forever hold a special place where we will keep our treasured memories of Dan cooking perch, cheering on the Red Wings & Buckeyes, but most importantly spending time with his grandkids and many nieces & nephews.

Dan is survived by his mother, Kathleen, daughter, Amanda McCrory, grandchildren, Braylon and Adriana, brothers, Tim, John, Tom (Krista), and Terry (Irma) McCrory, sister, Diane (John) Brezvai, and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John “Jack”.

Visitation for Dan will be Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH. A Funeral Mass for Dan will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 22, 2024 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 729 White St., Toledo, OH with visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Toledo, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Dan may be given to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
