Daniel W. Draheim

Daniel W. Draheim, age 86 of Temperance formerly of West Toledo, passed away on March 21, 2015 at his home. Dan was born November 1, 1928 to Arnold W. and Leona (Lechlak) Draheim. He was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School and joined the Marine Corp at the end of WWII. He was an army veteran of the Korean War and retired from the Army Reserves as 1st Sgt. after 39 years total service. Dan was a lifetime member of the Korean War Veterans serving several terms as secretary and president. He worked for several beer and wine distributors for 39 years retiring in 1989. Dan was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Dan is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carole; children, Ted W. Draheim, Patti (Randy) Small, Susan McLean, Steve (Sandy) Draheim, Ron (Cathy) Draheim; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, brother, Bob Draheim of Temperance, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tom; sisters-in-law, Sandy and Sylvia. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave (west of Corey Rd) with a Korean War Veterans Association service and military honors at 6:00 PM.
