Daniel George Davison, Sr., 90, of Toledo, died January 15, 2017 at The Toledo Hospital. Dan was born November 28, 1926 in Three Rivers, Quebec, Canada to the late Charles Wright and Gladys Sara (Sexton) Davison. He attended Albert College in Belleville, Ontario, the University of Toronto and then competed both his Bachelors and Masters degrees at the University of Toledo after becoming a United States citizen on June 13, 1951. Dan began his career at Mather Engineering where he was National Sales Manager and then worked in sales with various companies in the liquid hauling industry, retiring at the age of 78. Intelligent and detail-oriented, he was a skilled pianist and an avid reader. Dan also enjoyed traveling, golf and collecting numerous items including his extensive model truck collection. He was an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Surviving is his wife, Lenore I. Lee Davison; sons, Daniel George Jr. and Charles K. Davison; step children, Evan Balaguer and Lynn (John) Colston; grandchildren, Christie, Elizabeth, Charles, Max, Susie, Brian, Zachary, Nicholas, Gracie, Fen and Dixon; and great grandchildren, Joshua, Aubrey and Noah. Dan was also preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn (Kruger) Davison, son, William Davison and brother, Robert Davison. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 3077 Valleyview Drive, Toledo, OH 43615. Interment will take place at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church or a charity of the donors choice.
