Daniel Adams Barnhart

Daniel Adams Barnhart was born on January 10, 1950 in Wauseon, Ohio. He was one of seventeen children born from the union of the late Lyman A and Virginia E (Whitehead) Barnhart. Daniel attended Swanton High School where he graduated with the class of 1968. He continued his education through Owens Community College where he took classes in law enforcement. Daniel married Gladys M. Barnhart and from this union came a blended family of seven children. He supported his family through employment with Universal Security for thirty years working in many capacities, taking retirement in 2012 as the operations manager. Daniel married the love of his life, the former Sharon Ann Sweeney on December 12, 1998 in Toledo, Ohio. Daniel was a simple man, loved going to work or working on cars when he was home. He was genuine, very black and white with a straight forward attitude. In his free time, Daniel enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and listening to old country music. One of his favorite places to vast was the Grand Ole Opry. Daniel Adams Barnhart, age 69 of Maumee passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 10:22am peacefully, surrounded by his family. In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded by many siblings. To cherish his memory, Daniel leaves his loving wife of twenty years: Sharon Barnhart of Maumee; his children: Robert (Tricia) Barnhart of Maumee, Wonidea (Larry) Krohn of Toledo, Jenny (Reg) Behlmer of Perrysburg, Kate Johnson of Holland, Jack Baumgardner of Tennessee, Pat (Jeff) Williams of Holland and Joyce (Charles) Grasier of Bryan; sister: Addie (Kelly) Wilson of Michigan; brother: Mike Barnhart of Toledo; eighteen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
