Daniel S. Barnd

Daniel S. Barnd, age 78, of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at St. Lukes Hospital. He was born on February 5, 1937 to George and Genevieve (Wineland) Barnd in Findlay Ohio. Dan proudly served his country in the US Army and worked as a realtor for Neal South Realty. He was a member of the Maumee Elks and Maumee Eagles. Dan enjoyed bowling, golfing and solving puzzles, but his greatest love was his family. Dan is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; sons, Russell (Jennifer) and Dennis (Debra); step-daughters (nee McClain); Betsy (Dennis) Nellis, Sue (Rick) Fisher and Tracy (Doug) Jerabek; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Selene (Roy) Girdler and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 310 Elizabeth Street, Maumee, Ohio on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Episcopal Church or Shriners Children Hospital, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
