Dana William Leppert

Dana William Leppert 70, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.

Dana was born in Oregon, Ohio, May 19, 1956, to James and Bertha (Strackeljohn) Leppert. He was a graduate of Genoa High School, class of 1974. Dana was a master of many trades. He was a skilled machinist who could fix anything and was often called upon by family and friends when a solution to a complex problem was needed. In his early years, Dana spent time working in Las Vegas, Nevada, in surveillance and was trained as a card dealer. He later returned to northwest Ohio where he owned the Rainbow Wash in Milbury, Ohio, and was well respected for his detailing abilities, restoring cars to a showroom shine. Dana worked locally and around the country as an aircraft windshield repair specialist for Triumph Aerospace, retiring in 2011. He held several US Patents for processes and procedures he developed for the aviation industry. Throughout his life, Dana helped his dad on the family farm, repaired small engines for neighbors, and was well informed of the national political scene and ready to debate politics at a moment's notice. His greatest love was spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.

Dana is survived by his daughters, Ashley Leppert and Amber Leppert; grandchildren, Audrey, Apple, Logan, and Jack; sisters, Chris Hamilton, Sue Kingery, and Joni Leppert; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Dana's life will be held in the future. Dana's family wishes to thank the staff of Mercy St. Vincent Hospital ICU and Regency Hospital for their care, compassion, and making Dana's final days peaceful for him and his family. Robinson Walker Funeral Home is assisting the family.
