Damien R. Marcinek, 27, of Oregon, passed away suddenly Friday, August 19, 2016 as the result of a motorcycle accident. Damien was born on July 31, 1989 to David J. Marcinek and Kathleen J. Herman in Toledo, Ohio. He was a 2007 graduate of Lake High School/Penta Career Center and was currently taking classes at Owens Community College to work on robotics and earn his Journeymen’s Card. Damien was a Maintenance Welder at Norplas Industries, creating car parts for the last 4 years. He enjoyed motorcycles, water sports, off-roading, fast cars, drag races and loved anything with a motor. He will always be remembered by those who loved him as being “brutally honest”. Left to cherish his memory are his mother Kathleen J. Herman; father, David (Cheryl) Marcinek; brother, David John “Andrew” (Rhiannon) Marcinek; grandparents, Robert Marcinek and Doris Mariea; step-brother, Joe (Heather) Ferguson; and step-sister, Sarah (fiancé Dylan Kearns) Ferguson and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Damien was preceded in death by his grandparents, Faith Marcinek and Dorothy and Clarence Herman. Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 2:00-8:00 PM. at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419-666-3121) with a scripture service beginning at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday, August 25, 2016 in the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM. with funeral services beginning at 12:00 noon. Private burial at Fort Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Abate.
