Dallas C. Shanteau

Dallas C. Shanteau, 71, of Genoa, died early Thursday morning, July 28, 2011, in the Genoa Retirement Village. He was born June 11, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio, to Clarence and Dorothy Straw Shanteau. He was a truck driver for Bischoff Trucking in Walbridge for several years. His interests included fishing, cars and car racing. Dallas is survived by his sister, Barbara J. Shanteau of Genoa and his nephew, Keith Stager. His parents and sister, Arlene Stager, preceded him in death. There will be no visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later time. Memorials for Dallas may be given to the American Heart Association, 1701 Woodlands Dr. Suite 200, Maumee, OH 43537; or the American Diabetes Association, 6800 W. Central Ave. Suite D1, Toledo, OH 43617. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements.
