Dallas B. Pollock

Dallas B. Pollock, 97, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. Dallas was born on August 08, 1915 in Ney, OH, the son of John W. and Maggie Andres Pollock. On August 20, 1938, in Toledo, OH, he married Evelyn Johnston and she preceded him in death on April 19, 2012. Dallas was the owner/operator of City Bakery for 19 years, Travelers Inn for 3 years and 3-D Taxi Company for 6 years. He also was the owner/operator at Madison Recreation for 10 years and tended bar at the Port Clinton Elks Lodge #1718 for 8 years. Dallas was a member of the Port Clinton Elks Lodge #1718, Kiwanis Club and past member of the Colonial Club. He enjoyed race cars, poker and golf. Dallas will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Daughter: Judith Lynn Pollock of Toledo, OH; Grandsons: Michael Joan Dees and Stephen Pollock. Dallas was preceded in death by his loving wife of 74 years: Evelyn, parents, daughter: Bonnie Jean Dees, brothers: Alfred Velton Pollock and John T. Pollock, sister: Gertrude Sophronia Snyder. Friends may call Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 5:00pm until the Memorial Service at 7:00pm, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Private interment will be in Forest Cemetery, Toledo, OH. Memorial donations in memory of Dallas may be given to the American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Dr., Suite B, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
