Dale E. Lattea

January 1, 1956 — June 21, 2023

Dale E. Lattea, 67, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at his residence

after a sudden illness. He was born to Roy G. and Wilma (Rinehart) Lattea, in Mansfield, Ohio on

January 1, 1956. Dale married Jody L. (Colon) in Genoa, Ohio on June 29, 2019, at their home in

Genoa and together they enjoyed the company of their combined 12 children, raising the last 8

together with their other respective parents over the 12 1/2 years they were together.

Dale started and operated IHS Total Services, a company that specialized in commercial and

vacation rental cleaning throughout the area. He enjoyed his work but cherished his family and

was always the “calm in the middle of a storm.” He was always there for his children, had

affectionate nicknames for all. He was ready to lend a hand and share his wisdom. His calm

demeanor could be attributed to his deep faith. Dale enjoyed reading, especially Steven King

novels along with topics related to government and politics. He also had a keen interest in

Astronomy and weather tracking. Dale spoiled his K-9 companion, “Milo” every opportunity he

could!

Dale is survived by his loving wife, Jody, his children Sara Smith, Eric, Michael (Crystal), Matthew

(Bridget), Bekah (Rich), Hannah (Raul), Lillian (Zachary), Samuel (Shelby) and Jesse Lattea, Jody’s

children Scott Stribrny, Holly (Ryan) Shields, Joe Stribrny, 12 grandchildren, sister, Janet (Tom)

Woodard, and brother Jerry (Sue) Lattea. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dale’s wishes were that his body be donated for medical research to the University of Toledo

Medical College, which his family has honored. Those wishing to offer their condolences or

share a story may do so at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home

& Crematory of Genoa, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
