Dale Albert Kline

Dale Albert Kline, 82, of Graytown, Ohio died at St. Charles Hospital on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. He was born on a farm in Oak Harbor, Ohio on January 16, 1930 to the late Albert and Louise Boss Kline. Dale graduated from Benton-Carroll-Salem High School in 1948. He was vice-president of his class. He continued his studies at the University of Toledo where he joined ROTC and was a second Lieutenant in the Army. He married Bernice Harder in 1952. Dale served his country for 4 years. After service, he and his wife, Bernice returned to Graytown, OH in 1957 where he was employed for Brush-Wellman in Elmore, OH while attending law school at the University of Toledo. In 1973, he joined Tom Corogin in the practice of law from which he retired in December of 1999. He has been an active member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, OH, the Ottawa County, Ohio and American Bar Associations. He enjoyed flying a single engine plane and was a member of a number of flying organizations including among others, Portage Valley Flying Club, Ohio and International Flying Farmers, Quiet Birdmen and United Flying Octogenarians. Family members and family pets as well as his interest in farming were also included whenever possible in daily activities. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family children: daughters, Cindy Kline, Graytown, OH; Sandy Kline, Evanston, IL., and son, Mark Kline, Long Beach, CA. He is survived by his wife, Bernice of 60 years, his children, and brother, Wallace Kline and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Dale in death are: parents Albert and Louise Kline, brother, Herman Kline and sister, Lucinda Ewing. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be conducted Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor, OH followed by a bereavement meal. Memorials may be made to the Endowment Trust Fund, St. Johns Lutheran Church, Luther Home of Mercy, American Cancer Society or the donors choice.
