Dale Holland

Dale V. Holland of Pemberville, OH passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at his home. He was born on March 1, 1921 to William and Josephine (Boisselle) Holland in Toledo, Ohio. Dale lived on Walden Avenue in East Toledo for 91 years, and moved to Pemberville in 2012. He was an Industrial Water Treatment Service and Sales Representative for Merck (formerly Calgon) until retiring in 1985. Dale and his beloved wife, Rita Marie, enjoyed spending many weeks a year during their retirement years ‘up-North” at their cottage on Lake Huron in Oscoda, MI. Dale was a life-long fan of the Detroit Tigers, and the Red Wings. He loved photography and his keen eye for composition grew over the years from developing his own film with his father Bill, to using his iPad to make his shots pixel-perfect. He enjoyed sharing his photographs, love of Boston Terriers and his countless memories of East Toledo, with acquaintances, friends and family. Dale was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Rita Marie; and his brother William (“Red”). Left to cherish his memory are his children, Connie (Fritz) Tresso, Roland (Dorothy) Holland, Rita Ann (Stephen Muterspaw) Holland and Daniel (Emily) Holland; grandchildren, Stephanie Tresso-Celebrezze (Tony), Stacy Tresso, Tammy (Mike Guziolek) Bengela, Greggory (Kelly) Holland, Tricia (Adrian) Holland-Rodriguez, Mandy (Jason) LaGrange, Matthew (Andrea Gould) Holland, Peter (Bethany Webb) Holland, Joshua (Heather) Hughes, Rachel Hughes, Grayson (Margaret Gammill) Holland and Drew (Amy) Holland; 17 great grandchildren; his dedicated caregiver Charline Gray; and Wilbur, his much-loved Boston Terrier. Visitation will take place at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 2 pm until 8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
