Dale Hanson

December 16, 1939 — January 7, 2010

Dale C. Hanson passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born to Arthur and Ina Hanson December 16, 1939, in Austin, Minnesota. Dale graduated from Birmingham Michigan High School. He served his country in the Air Force Reserves while attending Bowling Green State University. Dale worked as a draftsman for fifty years in both Michigan and Ohio. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, watching University of Michigan athletic events, being outdoors, fishing, camping and attending the extracurricular activities of his grandchildren. Dale had a strong work ethic and a kind heart. He was selfless, courageous, optimistic and compassionate. All those who knew him well will miss him deeply. Surviving is his loving wife of four years, Griseldis; son, Todd Kim Hanson; daughters, Mary Heather David Munger and Elizabeth Aaron Bortz; step-daughter, Karen Phillip Fritts; grandchildren, Natalie Hanson, Max and Ana Claire Munger, Ally, Sam, Janie, and Lucy Bortz, Evan and Aric Fritts; brother, Larry Karen Hanson. Dale was preceded in death by his wife of thirty- nine years, Sharon Naumann Hanson. Friends may visit the family on Monday from 1-5 PM 7-9 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 Monday evening at the funeral home. Interment at the Toledo Memorial Park will be private. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Red Cross P.O.
