Dale D. Fielding

Dale D. Fielding, 74, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on May 19, 2023, at his home in Genoa, OH. Dale was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 19, 1948, to George and Betty (Ball) Fielding. He graduated from Genoa High School in Genoa, Ohio, in 1966. He met the love of his life, Alyce R. (Bondy) in 1972. They were married in Genoa on December 31, 1975. Also he served in the Marine Corps from 1966 to 1972. After his honorable discharge in 1972, Dale went to work as a manufacturing supervisor. After his retirement from Guardian Industries in 2014 Dale bought a 1996 BMW convertible and spent a lot of time cruising the Lake Erie coast and at Hollywood casino and other casinos, enjoying his retirement. He was a man who tried to never miss his children’s or grandchildren’s athletic events or activities. Card games were always on tap for family gatherings. Dale was an avid sports fan watching Red Wings hockey, NFL football, and NCAA sports, especially OSU.


His wife, Alyce says, “He taught me the joy of hockey and being loved unconditionally for 50 years, both have always brought me great joy and always will.”


Dale is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Alyce, daughters, Tia Jones (Rick) and Gina Fielding ((David), grandchildren, Adam Eber, Autumn Eber, Kayla Padilla, Isabella Padilla and Mars Padilla, and brothers David Fielding and Dwight Fielding and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Betty Fielding, brother, Dennis and son, Jeffrey Dale.


There are no plans for a service at this time. Dale’s family suggests that memorials be directed to the Wounded Worrier Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa is assisting with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
