Cyrus G. Gillingham, (aka Big Cy, the Chicken Guy) 64, of Genoa died June 19, 2015 as a result of an industrial accident. He was born on October 2, 1950 to Robert (June Green) Gillingham. He was employed for 36 years with H. Hansen Industiries as a Heavy Diesel Fleet Mechanic. Cyrus served his Country in the United States Navy, during the Vietnam War. Cyrus loved his grandchildren, fishing, eating, camping, his dogs, and playing bingo with his wife. Surviving is the love of his life, his wife, Rita S. Gillingham, children: Rachel (Michael) Williams, Cyrus (Traci) Gillingham Jr. Emery (Amanda) Gillingham, Grandchildren: Alyssa and Dustyn Williams, Jordan and Preston Gillingham, Siblings: Bobbi (Neitling, Lora (Terry) Karr, Christopher (Carol) Gillingham, Anna Gaborik, Ruth (David) Keen, Daniel (Cindy) Gillingham, William (Dusty) Gillingham. Friends will be received in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419-666-3121) from 2-9 Wednesday, June 24, 2015 and after 10 Am Thursday, June 25, 2015 followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
