The world lost a beautiful soul when Cynthia Lou Sherman, 77, passed away on October 26, 2025, surrounded by love. Born in Lansing, Michigan, on November 30, 1947, Cindy spent her life sharing her passion for music and her boundless love for family.

Cindy was a gifted vocalist, at age 16 she was singing with the Lansing Symphony. She went on to earn her Master's Degree in music at Michigan State University.

She shared her love of music throughout her entire life teaching piano and guitar to countless students, including her grandchildren.

Over the years, Cindy was an office administrator, a volunteer firefighter/EMS, she provided daycare services, and always made time for hobbies like golf, gardening, and art. Cindy was the heart of her family. She adored her children and grandchildren, celebrating every milestone and making every family event joyful and fun. Those who knew her will remember her upbeat spirit, her contagious laugh, and her ability to find the beauty and joy in everyday moments.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by children, James Grabarczyk, Nicole Phillips, LaDonna (Jason) Klocinski, Dawn (Rodney) Sherman, Adorn Grabarczyk; grandchildren, Margaret Grabarczyk, Samantha Phillips, Brianna and Eliana Klocinski, Troy and Elise Sherman, and Landen Dow. Cindy leaves behind friends and loved ones who will miss her dearly.

Family and friends are invited to gather on November 1, 2025, to celebrate Cynthia’s beautiful life. A visitation will be held at the Walker Funeral Home and Crematory in Sylvania starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at noon. A graveside service will take place at Toledo Memorial Park at 1:00 PM.

Cynthia will be laid to rest with the same love and grace she shared every day of her life - her melody will play on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
