Cynthia A Loo

April 20, 1952 — April 11, 2023

Cynthia “Cindy” A. Loo, 70, of Rossford, Ohio died Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 20, 1952 to Raymond and Irene (Czubachowski) Zaciek.

Cindy received her Master’s Degree in Counseling and retired from Hospice of Northwest Ohio as a social worker. Cindy led a life of compassion and kindness and loved helping people alongside her wonderful co-workers. She was also an advocate for environmental issues, women’s rights, and humane treatment of animals. Cindy loved her dogs and could often be seen walking all four of them in the neighborhood for 13 years.

She had a passion for learning and immersing herself in cultural experiences such as Gallery Group tours at the Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo Symphony Orchestra concerts, Music at the Market, live theater, and so much more. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed Alaska, cruising up the Danube, and going to Istanbul, Turkey. Cindy and her husband Jim enjoyed spending the winters in Florida, soaking up the sun, fishing off the dock, and hosting friends and family. Her “Heaven on Earth” was spending time with her children and grandchildren who fondly called her Nana. She filled their lives and hearts with unconditional love and support, unforgettable family vacations (Florida, Disney, New Buffalo/Chicago, NYC to name a few), and special traditions to cherish and pass along to their own families (Mother’s Day garden, card games, banana bread and Christmas cookie baking, among many more to treasure). Her love of family, sense of adventure, and kind spirit lives on in them.

Cindy is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Loo; children, Elizabeth (Justin) Zemanski, Jonathan Loo, and Jenny Loo; grandchildren, Kira Zemanski, Jay Zemanski, Cayden Coehrs and Liam Grzymkowski; brothers, Alan (Linda) Zaciek and Mark Zaciek. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Rachael.

A private celebration of life for Cindy will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Cindy’s name may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to Susan G. Komen. Arrangements were entrusted to Sujkowski Walker Funeral Home, Rossford. Online condolences may be left at walkerfuneralhomes.com.
