Cynthia, passed peacefully away on Sunday, August 22, 2021, with her beloved husband, Jack, holding her hand and surrounded by her loving family. She is also the magnificent Grandmother to Tyler (Stephanie), JT, Tonya (Brian), Linzey (Eric), Shelby, Calla, Alek (Melissa), Tori (Vince) and Cameron. Cynthia adored her great-grandchildren: Warren, McKenzie, Henry, Oliver, Melanie, and Libbey and loved to cuddle with them in her last days. Family and community were the most important aspects of her life. She will be missed by everyone, who loved her eternal concern and kindness. Daughter of Bill and Virginia Carrico, surviving are her sisters Janice Simon, Elaine Mahoney and sisters-in law; Sharon Masney (Louie) and Kathy Betley (Mike) and their families. She and Jack were married 63 years ago at St. Pius Church, after she graduated from Notre Dame Academy. They were sweethearts all through high school. Jack graduated from Central High School. They met while working together at the Big Bear Supermarket in the Colony. Together, after the death of Jack’s father Floyd, they grew the Holt Roofing Company. Today it is a respected family known business of 74 years. It was not uncommon for Cynthia to be at the office late at night with Babe, the family dog. Cynthia served as a lifetime member and officer of many Toledo organizations including: Toledo Metropolitan Ladies Club, Toledo Town Club, Toledo Women’s Club, New Neighbors League of Toledo, Welcome Wagon and the Toledo Opera Guild. She will be remembered for her devotion to her community, her family and all of those were touched by her kindness, generosity, and devotion to all. She enjoyed traveling, interior decorating, playing cards and her Bunco group of over 40 years. Special thanks to Ellen for all of her tender loving care and friendship throughout all of the years, we all truly consider you to be one of the family. Also, thanks to Shelley, who has been a wonderful asset to all of us during these last days.
