James Fishburn, 71, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Thursday, April 03, 2008 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. He was born May 18, 1936, in Cleveland, OH, the son of Frank and Alice Haney Fishburn. On September 9, 1961 in Cleveland, OH, he married Brenda Dunlap and she survives. James served as a technician with the National Guard for over 30 years, retiring as a Warrant Officer in 1986. He also was employed at The Pharm as a receiving clerk retiring in 2003. James was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association. James enjoyed bowling; watching movies and he especially loved playing poker. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Loving Wife of 46 years: Brenda Fishburn of Port Clinton, OH; Children: Mary John McDaniels of Port Clinton, OH; James P. Luisa Fishburn of Parma, OH; Alice Hun Schmidt of Albuquerque, NM; Angela Fishburn of Port Clinton, OH; Grandchildren: Tara, Heidi, Adina, Jared, Krystal and Kyle; Sister: Shirley Jim Kovach of Brooklyn, OH; Nephew: Keith Youngman of Berea, OH and many more nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial service will be conducted by Father John Missler at 11:00AM, Tuesday, April 08, 2008 in Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH.
