Curtis N. Laubner, 82, of 457 N. Erie Beach Road, Marblehead, OH passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio.
He was born in Marion, Ohio to Dorthy F. (Camp) Laubner and Curtis E. Laubner Jr. On September 23, 1943. He married Maryanne Ward on December 19, 1970, Port Clinton, Ohio, who survives him.
A retired contractor, Curt proudly owned and operated Laubner Construction. He was a devoted member of St. John Lutheran Church in Marblehead, Ohio, and was deeply involved in his community. He served as a member of the Marblehead Lions Club, American Legion Post 555, Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, and as Scout Master of Troop 331 for more than 40 years. He enjoyed leadership positions in all of these organizations.
Curt honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967 and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Bowling Green State University in 1971.
In addition to his beloved wife Maryanne, he leaves one son Nathaniel Laubner of San Antonio, TX., a daughter, Katrina (Thomas) Holmes of Lakewood, OH, a sister, Cheryl Laubner of Marblehead, OH, a step-brother Steve Penry of Marblehead, OH, two granddaughters, Amber (John) Warrell of Lakewood, OH, Darion (RJ) Karam of Medina, OH and seven great-grandchildren who brought him great joy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Danbury Township from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the funeral and burial service at the church. Memorial donations may be made in Curt’s honor to St. John Lutheran Church in Marblehead or the Marblehead Lions Club, organizations that were close to his heart.
